A VISIT to Manis Pear Sdn Bhd will leave you spoilt for choice with its large selection of contemporary household and decorative items made from wood.
There are two such outlets located on the second floor of Amcorp Mall in Petaling Jaya. They are owned by Steven Woon, 40, who brings in the items from Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and India.
These include wooden elephants, cats and owls to enhance bookshelves and display cabinets, baskets with an ethnic look, table runners, display cups, hangers, clothes, bags, shoes, wind chimes, lamp stands and shades as well as accessories. Prices range from RM19 to RM300.
Hand-woven silk materials from Cambodia, scarves and shawls are sold from RM29 per piece to RM399 depending on the design.
"My stores also offer winter wear made from thick cotton materials from Japan which are sold from RM300," said Woon, adding that he planned to open up more branches in the Klang Valley this year.
The outlets are open from 11am to 8pm daily. For details, call 03-7958-3031 or 03-7958-4032.
