FOR the first time ever, an international art exposition will be held in Malaysia.
The event, billed the 1st Malaysia World Art-Tourism Expo, will showcase works by artists and galleries from from South Korea, Iran, United States, England, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Cuba, Russia, Thailand, Myanmar and China.
It will be held at the Malacca International Trade Centre in Ayer Keroh from Nov 9 to 13. Viewing hours are 11am to 8pm from Nov 9-12 and 11am to 5pm on Nov 13.
Local artists participating include big names such as Chung Chen Sun, Choong Kam Kow, Cheah Yew Saik, Tew Nai Tong, Tan Tong, Kimhai Lim, Chiang Shih Wen, S. Amin Shahab, Heng Eow Lin, Yap Hong Ngee, Rahime Harun, Chng Huck Theng, Lam Siong Onn, Low Kong Wen, Lim Ka Seng and Chan Chiow Teng.
There will be more than 100 booths. This is the first time such a large collection of diverse artworks from all over the world will be exhibited under one roof, and it is an opportunity not to be missed for art lovers and those interested in starting a modest collection.
This expo will also see a spirited representation of the best South Korean art outside Seoul for many of their leading artists have confirmed participation.
