BEAUTIFUL Malaysia, a watercolour exhibition featuring 38 landscape paintings by Bei Xumin, is on at Fashion Court, The Curve in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, till July 31.

Considered among the top 30 watercolourists in China, Bei was inspired to paint the beautiful landscapes of Malaysia and has travelled to places as far as Sarawak for a diverse view of the country. His paintings reflect the play of colours, and he is adept at the use of white spaces. Bei’s landscapes are a "breath of fresh air". Beautiful Malaysia is an indication that it doesn’t necessarily need a local to excel in the subject.
