Earth in all its sublime beauty

Mar 24:
Art exhibition From One Earth features 12 Malaysian artists who express the beauty of the earth in their unique and poetic paintings. The exhibition ends on Sunday.
The artists are Ahmad Fauzi Arshad, Adeputra, Gary Quah, Mohamad Radzi Ismail, Shahril Awang, Shireen Lee, Rasid Yusof, Zaim Durulaman, Zulhairy Ithnain, Rosdan Abdul Manan, Mohamad Hanif Hassan and Rafie Abdul Rahman. They will deliver their own interpretations in the medium of their choice (paintings, sculpture and photography).
The exhibition is held in conjunction with Earth Day (on March 21). The artists’ works show the precious value of the Earth’s limited treasures. They hope to carry a message about sharing a common responsibility to preserve its well-being for future generations.
For example, Fauzi’s colourful painting of a coconut tree brings out the vibrancy and life of such a simple but taken-for-granted work of Mother Nature.
Quah’s picture of perfectly synchronised fishes show the natural harmonisation and livelihood of all living things.
Zaim’s abstract of shadowy trees and barks represent a melancholic yet calming sense of peace.
The exhibition is held at Wisma Kebudayaan SGM, No.243, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur from 11am-6pm daily.
