Chickpeas

Ingredients
400g chickpeas
3 average ripe tomatos
1 to 2 large tablespoons jeera
2 tablespoons virgin coconut oil
1/2 to 1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 lemon
1 large onion
Salt to taste

Method
1. Soak chickpeas overnight. Wash well. Steam in a rice cooker for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. (Add sufficent water).

2. In a stainless steel kuali heat 2 to 3 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil. Add jeera until it darkens, followed by cut ripe tomatoes. Stir well till cooked.

3. Add chickpeas, followed by chilli powder. Mix well.

4. Add lemon juice and cut onions. Cook two to three minutes till ready.
