Spicy spaghetti with chicken balls and cheese
Ingredients
1 packet spaghetti
1 packet minced chicken meat (preferably Ramly's)
10 red tomatoes
2 shallots, thinly sliced
2 stalks celery, thinly sliced
2 red chillies, thinly sliced
1 potato, grated
1 carrot, grated
2 tsp Italian herbs (can be found in supermarts)
1 medium-sized tin tomato puree
3 tins water (using the tomato puree can)
2 tbsp grated Cheddar cheese
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp grated Mozarella cheese
1 tsp Maggi chicken granules
Salt and sugar, according to taste
Method
1. Boil spaghetti with 1 tbsp olive oil till done. Scoop out the spaghetti into a colander and rinse with cold water.
2. Put tomatoes inside boiling water for 2 minutes, then put inside cold water for easy peeling of the skin. Deseed the tomatoes and dice them.
3. Using 3 tbsp olive oil, saute shallots till done. Add celery pieces.
4. Add diced tomatoes, red chillies as well as grated carrots and potatoes.
5. Add 2 tsp Italian herbs, tomato puree and water.
6. Mix salt and pepper into minced chicken meat, and make them into small balls. Add into the gravy.
7. Add 1 tsp Maggi chicken granules as well as salt and sugar according to taste.
8. When the gravy starts to boil, add the three types of grated cheese.
9. Cook for another 30 minutes using slow fire.
