The two-day event, co-organised by the Feline Society of Malaysia (FSM) and the Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA), will feature some of the finest and most agile pure-bred and cross-bred felines.

The FSM is the biggest cat club in the country while CFA has the world's largest registry of pedigree cats.

The cat show is aimed at creating public interest in cats and educating cat owners on their responsibilities.

Event spokesman Ken Wee said the first day of the event will feature a grooming demonstration, a cat's adoption drive, feline agility training session and colouring contest.

"The second day will feature the CFA international cat show, followed by the feline agility competition," Wee said.

"The feline agility competition, which is the main highlight of the programme, will see cats racing through obstacles, jump, walk through a tunnel as well as on the balance beam.

"The fastest cat to complete all the obstacles will be declared the winner.

Wee said the competition is open to local and international participants.

"There will be four categories. In each category, the top 10 winners will receive prizes and points," he added.

The entry fee for pedigree cats is RM120 per entry household pets RM60, fun show RM15 and feline agility RM15.
