Weekend watch: First “Celebrity Apprentice”

CORPORATE mogul Donald Trump returns to mentor entrepreneur wannabees in The Celebrity Apprentice at 8.30pm on ntv7. This episode sees the tycoon, at his office in New York, reviewing an all-star roster of celebrity candidates who will be working, not for a job with him, but to raise money for their favourite charities.

In addition to being crowned the first “Celebrity Apprentice”, the winner also will receive a whopping US$250,000 (RM800,000) cheque payable to the designated charity. Also joining Trump in evaluating their efforts are his children, Ivanka and Donald Jr.
ntv7 also presents Fame which discovers salacious entertainment reality such as murder, tragedy, and dangerous liaison on Sunday at 2pm. This series combines fortune, beauty, glamour and wealth as well as provides insights of what Elvis, Kurt Cobain and River Phoenix had in common besides tragic and untimely deaths.
Astro Ria’s “flagship” series Akademi Fantasia Season 6 (AF6) announces its five finalists Nadia Hasnan, Stacy Anam, Idris Zaizizi, Nubhan Ahamad, Stanly David Impi and Khairul Nizam Baharom.This airs tomorrow at 9pm on Ria (Astro’s Channel 104).

Jordon takes a turn for the worse and Simon loses his cool with the Press as we continue to learn how Matt and Danny got fired from the show in the first place. Starring Matthew Perry, Bradley Whitford, Amanda Peet, D.L. Hughley, Richard Schiff and Ed Asner.
Chinese Movie — Driving Miss Wealthy (8TV, 8.30pm)
Jennifer is the spoilt child of a millionaire who is taught a lesson in responsibility and hard work by her father. Starring Gigi Leung and Andy Lau Ching Wan.

English Movie — The Flintstones In Viva Rock Vegas (TV3, 12.30am)
In this live-action prequel to the 1994 comedy hit The Flintstones, Fred, Wilma, Barney and Betty go on a trip to Rock Vegas. Starring Mark Addy, Stephen Baldwin, Kristen Johnson, Jane Krakowski and Joan Collins.

Anacondas: The Hunt For The Blood Orchid (RTM2, 9pm)
A group of explorers visit the interior of Borneo to look for the Blood Orchid, which blooms once in seven years and can make a person become immortal. Starring Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Johnny Messner, KaDee Strickland, Matthew Marsden, Eugene Byrd and Morris Chestnut.

CSI: Miami — No Man’s Land (ntv7, 9.45pm)
A truck carrying weapons that were confiscated from previous crimes is back on the streets of Miami. An old enemy of Horatio puts the lives of two CSI staff in harm’s way. Starring Brendan Fehr, Boti Bliss, Josue Aguirre, Andrew Borba and Monnae Michaell.

Malay Movie — Adik (ntv7, 10.45pm)
Adik is an 11-year-old fleeing home to Jakarta in search of her father when her mother announces that she will remarry.

Aniversari Yang Hitam (TV9, 10pm)
Dr Farid and Dr Munirah are happily married. One day, a gangster named Jamal abducts Dr Munirah and forces her to treat his injuries sustained in a shoot-out with another gangster named Wong. In the abduction, Dr Munirah is injured. Meanwhile, Dr Farid contacts the police to search for his wife, but the police suspect that he has killed his wife. Starring Yusuf Wahab, Jasmin Wahab, Eizlan Yusuf, Idris Mohd Diah and Sani Salleh.
