Weekend Watch: Catch new game, cooking shows

A NEW game show Double, Triple or Nothing premieres over 8TV on Sunday at 8.30pm.
The contestants will have to think on their feet as the fun-filled but tricky segments will test their knowledge on mind-boggling puzzles such as shape guessing, price guessing, formula tiles matching and many more. For those who love to see cooking shows, Hong's Kitchen debuts tomorrow over ntv7 at 4.30pm. Join the Taiwanese chef as he "feeds" viewers with fuss-free recipes to surprise loved ones, every week. The show is shot in Malaysia. For movie buffs, 8TV is airing The Making Of... Get Smart at 10.30am tomorrow. Directed by Peter Segal, this hilarious film based on the TV series about agent Maxwell Smart, also known as Agent 86, who is on a mission to eradicate the evil nemesis known as Kaos, with his more-competent partner, Agent 99, by his side. The movie stars Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson, Alan Arkin, Terence Stamp, Terry Crews, David Koechner, James Caan and Bill Murray. On Sunday, ntv7 is showing The Making Of... Journey To The Centre Of The Earth at 2pm. Directed by Eric Brevig, this fantasy /sci-fi film is about a scientist, his nephew and their mountain guide who discover a fantastic and dangerous lost world in the centre of the earth. The movie stars Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutcherson and Anita Briem. TOMORROW Panggung Sabtu (Hindi Movie) (TV3, 2pm) — Aap Kaa Surroor The film revolves around the protagonist Himesh, an Indian rock star, and his love interest Hansika. The movie, set in Germany, sees Himesh getting framed for murder. Starring Himesh Reshammiya, Mallika Sherawat, Hansika Motwani, Raj Babbar, Sachin Khedekar and Pankaj Jha. Honey (English movie) (TV3, 12.30am) - For years, Honey's spirit and ambition have given her the motivation to move ahead and show the world her dance moves. Then, she gets the opportunity of a lifetime where everything she ever wanted is just a step away. Starring Jessica Alba and Mekhi Phifer. Bollygood Time On 2 — Filhaal (Hindi movie) (RTM2, 12.30pm) - Rewa and Sia are inseparable friends. Their bond has grown despite Rewa's marriage to Dhruv. All rejoice when Rewa and Dhruv are expecting a baby. Complications arise, and as a result, Rewa loses the baby. She is devastated when she is told that she can no longer conceive. Starring Tabu, Sushmita Sen, Sanjay Suri and Palash Sen. Love On The Rocks (Chinese movie) (8TV, 8.30pm) - When Wong's girlfriend Annie tells him she wants to separate, he is shocked. Devastated, he takes his Net friend Sum-kit's advice to visit his ex-girlfriends and find the right girl for him but he realises that he is actually falling in love with Sum-kit. Starring Louis Koo, Gigi Leung and Charlene Choi. The Marksman (English movie) (RTM2, 9pm) - An explosive action-adventure thriller where nothing is what it seems. Russia is on the brink of nuclear annihilation, and there's only one man who can save it. Starring Wesley Snipes, Emma Samms and William Hope. SUNDAY Hook (English movie) (RTM2, 3pm) - Peter Pan has grown up to be a cut-throat merger and acquisitions lawyer, and is married to Wendy's granddaughter. Captain Hook kidnaps his children and Peter must remember how to be Peter Pan again in order to save his children. Starring Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams and Julia Roberts. Selendang Delima (Malay movie) (TV3, 3pm) - A folk tale about a kingdom, Banda Biru, which is attacked by a giant Garuda. Raja Kayangan summons his prince, Dewa Laksamana, to kill the bird and restore peace in the kingdom. Starring Wahid Satay, Maria Menado, M. Amin and Abdullah Chik.
