KUALA TERENGGANU: Anti- Corruption Agency officers have taken files and recorded statements of four drivers in their investigation into the high maintenance costs of the Proton Perdana V6 Executive used by state executive councillors.

The statements were recorded yesterday while the files were taken from the office of the state secretary by three ACA officers on Wednesday and yesterday.

Three officers returned to the office at 11am yesterday, leaving at 1pm with more files.

State Secretary Datuk Mokhtar Nong said the government gave its fullest cooperation to the ACA officers to help them in the probe.

"We want to be transparent and I have instructed my officers to give all the information needed by the ACA officers relating to their investigation into the RM1.5 million repair and maintenance costs for the Proton Perdana V6 Executive cars. We have nothing to hide," he said when met at his office on the 15th floor of Wisma Darul Iman.
Mokhtar said the total maintenance figure for the car used by former menteri besar Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh was RM131,449 and not RM235,123 as reported.

"It was a clerical mistake."
