THANK you for publishing my letter on EPF beneficiaries ("Please give us more details" -- NST, April 25).
I am disappointed that the Employees Provident Fund has neither replied to my queries nor posted details of the alleged studies it conducted to back up its claim that "most prefer to keep it secret".
When were the studies conducted and what methodology was employed in the studies? This is so that we can determine if its methodology is unbiased and representative of the current population of members and, consequently, whether the results may be considered valid.
I also stated that neither I nor any of my human resource counterparts in Negri Sembilan and Selangor have ever been approached to take part in any such EPF survey.
I also refer to the letter "Go online to lodge reports, submit queries" (NST, April 21) by Dr Chua Hong Teck, director-general of the Public Complaints Bureau in the Prime Minister's Department, who stated that "since the end of last year, all agencies have been directed to monitor news and complaints regarding public service published in all major newspapers. They have been directed to reply to the complaints within three working days".
Thus, is this a case of blatant insubordination?
