MALACCA: Police have picked up a suspect believed to be involved in a heist at an automated teller machine in the Ayer Keroh industrial area.
About RM200,000 was reportedly stolen from the machine at the entrance of a factory on Wednesday.
Central Malacca division police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Adnan Abdullah said the theft was discovered by an employee yesterday morning.
The employee lodged a report at 10am at the Ayer Keroh police station.
Adnan said the suspect was believed to have entered the premises through the roof.
"We believe the thief had used metal cutting tools to get the cash," he said.
