KUALA LUMPUR: Koperasi NSTP and Koperasi Usahawan Ilham Baru Bhd are sponsoring an art-cum-charity sale exhibition for the needy in the Klang Valley.
The event was launched by Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development Minister Da-tuk Noh Omar at Balai Berita here yesterday.
NSTP group editor-in-chief Datuk Hishamuddin Aun said 20 per cent from the sale of art pieces would be given to charities such as orphanages.
Prices start from RM1,000 a piece (bronze category), the silver category at RM10,000, gold at RM20,000 and platinum at RM30,000.
Syarikat Saujana Erat Sdn Bhd, SME Bank, Optiman Event Sdn Bhd and Bank Kerjasama Rakyat had each contributed RM5,000 while Allianz General Insurance Company (M) Bhd, Koperasi Kebangsaan Permodalan Tanah Bhd, Malayan Banking Bhd, Tenaga Nasional Bhd, Aprilia Moto Millia Sdn Bhd and CIMB Aviva Takaful Bhd had donated RM1,000 each.
Noh Omar also presented uniforms to residents of Ru-mah Anak Yatim Sekendi, Sabak Bernam, yesterday.
The exhibition, open from 9am to 6pm daily at Galeri Seni in Balai Berita, ends on Sept 30.
