WITH a male customer base among the strongest and most loyal in the industry, Kiehl’s adds two products into its Facial Fuel men’s range. The Anti-Wrinkle Cream is an oil-free, lightweight moisturiser to reduce fine lines and improve facial firmness.

Made with chestnut extract and soy, the formula helps skin feel denser and stronger so it appears firmer. Vitamins C and E, and citrus fruit extracts help hydrate, invigorate and refresh the skin.

The No-Shine Moisturising Lip Balm helps dry, rough, and chapped lips without leaving a shiny appearance. It is formulated with moisturising oils of peppermint, jojoba, apricot kernel, and sweet almond to protect the lips.

LANCOME Hypnose Homme comes up with its summer edition — Hypnose Homme Eau Fraiche — a fresh interpretation of the original fragrance. It opens up with the citrus and spicy scent of orange, mint and ginger.

The essence of lavender from Provence, France, gives it harmony before settling on the woody notes and patchouli.

Available in July at all Lancome counters at RM230 for the 75ml bottle.

Aesop’s Three Acts Body Oils, named after films directed by Jean-Luc Godard.

TREAT your body to a soothing oil massage with Aesop’s Three Acts Body Oils. Made up of three types of oil, each one is named after films directed by French director Jean-Luc Godard.

A bout de souffle (breathless) is formulated with blood orange, patchouli and laurel leaf while Le Mepris (contempt) is a sophisticated mix of ginger root, black pepper and bergamot mint. Tout va bien (all’s well) is made of bergamot rind, cedarwood and petitgrain. Use it as massage oil or after-shower hydration for the body.

Kiehl’s "love oil", the Original Musk Oil, now available in EDT.

IN the early 1920’s, a unique fragrant oil was formulated in Kiehl’s apothecary’s flagship store in New York. For reasons unknown to anyone at Kiehl’s, it was placed in a vat labelled “love oil” and left in the store’s basement, not to be discovered again until 1958.

In 1963, the essence, renamed “Musk Oil” was first introduced and it was an instant success not only as a scent, but also as a fragrance.

In 1979, the Smithsonian Institution introduced Original Musk Oil into its permanent collection of American Pharmacological products.

After 40 years, Kiehl’s original musk was introduced under its eau de toilette range.
