Nik Aziz: It's all right to meet

Email to friend Email to Friend         Print article Print Article

KOTA BARU: Pas spiritual adviser Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat supports meetings between Pas and Umno leaders on issues relating to Islam but only on an individual basis.

Nik Aziz said it was all right for them to meet but it must not involve the party.

"They can meet each other on their own but the party must not be dragged into it.

"I have had enough of Umno as they are not professional in their political work," he said at his residence in Pulau Melaka yesterday.

He also confirmed that he had not attended the meetings and did not know anything about them.
"I have missed many meetings of the syura council (the highest decision-making body) because of my health.

"If such a meeting is called, then I will not be involved. I leave it all to the party president (Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang)."
