GUA MUSANG: Thirty-two of the 116 branches in the Gua Musang Umno division nominated division chief Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah for party president.

Seventeen of the branches are in the Nenggiri state constituency, nine in the Paloh state constituency and six in the Galas state constituency.

All are within the Gua Musang parliamentary constituency of which Tengku Razaleigh is the member of parliament.

None of the branches nominated candidates for the post of Umno deputy president or other positions at their annual meeting on Saturday.

The branches also nominated Tengku Razaleigh and Mohamad Saufi Deraman to defend their posts of Gua Musang division chief and deputy chief respectively.
They nominated Nenggiri state assemblyman Mohd Yusof Ab Ghani for the post of vice-chief in place of incumbent Mohamad Hamzah, an officer of the Southern Kelantan Development Authority. -- Bernama
