FAVOURITE Teo Kok Siang beat Selangor's Wong Kin Yik 21-11, 21-13 for his second group stage win in the 100Plus National Junior Grand Finals at the Pahang BA (PBA) Hall in Kuantan yesterday.

Kok Siang, who is from Johor, next plays Nur Mohd Haqiem, who is also from Selangor and a win will see him up against defending champion Kuan Kam Chung of Kuala Lumpur in the semi-finals.

In another match, Johor's Iskandar Zulkarnain, the second seed, had no problem beating Kuala Lumpur's Lee Jo Yew 21-14, 21-17 in 27 minutes.

In the Girls' Under-18 singles, favourite Sanatasah Saniru of Sabah secured a 21-15, 21-17 win over teammate Flora Ng. Going by her current form, Sanatasah should have little trouble making the final.

Malacca's Tiffany Chase Currier, who is expected to challenge Sanatasah for the title, took just 15 minutes to beat Teh Li Yen of Perak 21-8, 21-12.
