CELEBRITY chef Daniel Green, who is also author of Green’s Greens and Healthy Eating for Lower Cholesterol will be in Kuala Lumpur today and tomorrow to cook his selection of a la carte dishes at Carcosa Sri Negara’s Gulai House.

Health-conscious diners will get to taste Green’s cuisine infused with flavours of the Orient.

Green was once a model before he turned chef and culinary author.

“Guests will enjoy a four-course Asian menu, including dessert, without having to count their calories and worrying about cholesterol,” said Carcosa Seri Negara general manager Carla Petzold-Beck.

“The highlight is healthy food that don’t disappoint the taste-buds. The preconceived notion that healthy is ordinary and bland will be erased,” added Petzold-Beck.
Green will also share tips on healthy eating for better cholesterol control and present an autographed copy of his first book Green’s Cuisine: Low Fat Food with a Taste of Thailand.

Among the exotic offerings by Green over the weekend are East meets West crab cakes, lemon grass and corn soup, lime leaf chicken and miso seabass.

Not-to-be-missed desserts include Thai caramel bananas, sticky rice pudding and mango, and Asian fruit salad with papaya sorbet.

For an opportunity to meet the model cook, savour his innovative yet healthy recipes and receive a complimentary autographed copy of his book with every two guests, call Carcosa Seri Negara at 03-2295-0888 for reservations.

Gulai House opens for lunch from noon till 2.30pm. Dinner is from 6.30pm to 10.30pm.
