THE nation’s hottest Chinese music extravaganza is back on Aug 23.

Jolin Tsai is among the popular artistes at Summer Live Concert.

Summer Live Concert, Malaysia’s free live concert organised by 8TV, is set to return for the fourth time with a bigger bang at 8.30pm. It offers an extraordinary line-up of local and international artistes at MITC Outdoor Parking Area, Malacca.

The concert is organised annually by 8TV and assembles some of the finest Asian artistes and celebrities. Last year, the musical bash saw a staggering 100,000 8TV fans, viewers and music lovers who made their way to City Padang in Ipoh, Perak.

8TV Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Izham Omar said: “Over the past three years, Summer Live Concert has been a hit among our fans and viewers as well as music lovers.

“It’s a free concert that celebrates musical individuality while providing a massive opportunity for everyone to get together and just have a good time,” he said.
Izham continued: “Summer Live Concert is also one of our ways to thank loyal fans and viewers for the years of support they have given us. We hope that this year will be another blast for fans and our esteemed sponsors.”

Among the artistes lined up for the spectacular event are Taiwan’s Jolin Tsai, Rainie Yang, Stanley Huang, Show Luo, Energy, Awaking and Jam Hsiao.

The top two finalists of Project SuperStar (Seasons One, Two and Three), John and Des, Henley and Orange, and Kay and Hau respectively will represent Malaysia at the concert.

Gary Yap, Dylan Liong, Cheryl Lee and Xiao Yu will host the event.
