KUALA LUMPUR: A 23-year-old man was yesterday charged at the Sessions Court with possessing two types of drugs -- Eramin 5 and syabu. Cheng Thiam Keat, 23, of Kepong, claimed trial to possessing 500 psychotropic pills containing 128.7g of Eramin 5 and seven plastic packets containing 33.4g of syabu. Both offences were allegedly committed at Restoran Lima Bintang, No. 63, Jalan Development, Taman Kepong, at 7.30pm on July 7. He pleaded not guilty.

Disruption of power at plant
KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Gas Bhd shut down one of its gas processing complexes in Kerteh yesterday due to power failure. PGB said the plant was shut down at 5.20am following a disruption to power supply from Tenaga Nasional Bhd. "The power supply disruption was due to a flash fire at TNB's Kertih distribution system," it said.
