Wan Abdullah Wan Ibrahim says UEM Land wants to prioritise security development in the city

JOHOR BARU: The Nusajaya security blueprint, which will incorporate the world's best security system into the design and planning of the regional city, is expected to set the benchmark for new city developments worldwide.

With a vision of a totally safe and secure city, UEM Land Sdn Bhd, the master developer of Nusajaya, the largest integrated urban development in Southeast Asia, has secured Australia's leading security consultancy group -- Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM).

General Electric Inc, which offers leading-edge security and safety products, is acting as the facilitator in producing the Nusajaya security blueprint.

UEM managing director Wan Abdullah Wan Ibrahim said: "Never before has security been embedded within the planning and design principles of an entire city's development.

"The Nusajaya security blueprint is the first of its kind and aims to set the benchmark for other city developments around the world."

He said feedback from interested parties had indicated that security and safety was a prime concern.

Speaking at the launch of the Nusajaya Security Conference yesterday Wan Abdullah said: "This concern for safety and security is global and as a responsible developer we have resolved to address and prioritise this aspect in Nusajaya."
