BELURAN: Five members of a family were killed when their Perodua Kancil collided with a four-wheel drive at Km10 Jalan Beluran-Sandakan, near Kampung Nangka, yesterday.

District police chief Deputy Superintendent V. Shivanathan identified the victims as driver Am Balikong, 46, Mona Balikong, 58, Getom Balikong, Santok Balikong and 12-year-old Joshua Am.

The 4WD driver, who sustained minor injuries, was treated at the district hospital.

He said the accident occurred at 5.15am when the family was heading to their village in Sugut. - Bernama
