Raja of Perlis honours 327

KANGAR: Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Md Isa Sabu is one of 22 recipients of datukships in conjunction with the Raja of Perlis' 65th birthday today.

Md Isa and Unity, Culture, Arts, Heritage and Unity Minister Datuk Shafie Apdal are the only two to be bestowed the Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Perlis (SPMP), which carries the title "Datuk Seri".

Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail will bestow the awards at Istana Arau today.

There are 327 recipients in the honours list this year.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Sabtu Osman and Terengganu police chief Senior Assistant Commissioner I Datuk Ayub Yaakob will receive the Datuk Wira Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail (DWSJ) award which carries the title "Datuk Wira".
Eleven others will receive the Darjah Datuk Paduka Mahkota Perlis (DPMP) which carries the title "Datuk Paduka".

These include former deputy rural and regional development minister Dr Tekhee @ Tiki Anak Lafe; Drainage and Irrigation Department deputy director-general (development) Nordin Hamdan; YTL Corporation executive director Datuk Yeoh Soo Min; Ampang Hospital haematologist consultant Dr Chang Kian Meng; Perlis police chief Datuk Ghazali Md Amin; Mardi principal research officer Dr Othman Omar; Commerce International Merchant Bankers Bhd deputy chief executive Charon Wardini Mokhzani; Army 3 Brigade Kuching commander Brig-Gen Jayabalan Sinnadurai; state financial officer Musa Hassan; federal police secretary Azian Yahya; and Senator Wan Nordin Che Murat.

Education Services Commission secretary Datin Wan Khazanah Ismail is one of five recipients of the Darjah Datuk Setia Paduka Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail (DSPJ), which carries the title "Datuk".

The others are Masterskill College of Nursing and Health academic adviser Dr Proom Promwichit; former state executive councillor Mohd Zain Hamzah; lawyer Rajasekaran Murugiah and Tuanku Fauziah Hospital director Dr Faiz Ahmad Khan Wakil Ahmad Khan.

Corporate figure Raja Razman Raja Rome is the sole recipient of the Darjah Datuk Panglima Sirajuddin Jamalullail (DPSJ) which also carries the title "Datuk", while Istana Arau ceremonial officer Hamzah Abdullah will receive the Darjah Datuk Bergelar (Datuk Setia Bentara).

Former assemblymen for Bintong, Rusli Mat Husin and Sofiah Ahmad, are among the 15 who will receive the Darjah Setia Mahkota Perlis (SMP).

Others include Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) international network and trade promotion division director Md Silmi Abd Rahman, Shorubber (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd advisor Saffie Bakar, army police corps director Col Huzsaire Jantan, anaesthesiologist Dr Ismail Ahmad, and gynaecologist Dr Zaridah Shaffie.

State Customs Department senior assistant director Rosnani Mahamad is among recipients of the Darjah Seri Sirajuddin Perlis (SSP). The others include state Risda director Mohd Radzuan Mohd Diah and special officer to the menteri besar Vengadasamy Subramaniam.

Among the 36 recipients of the Darjah Ahli Mahkota Perlis (AMP) are Malaysian consul-general to Songkhla Raszlan Abdul Rashid, Kangar Bernama bureau chief Adnan Jahaya, state Islamic Religious Affairs director Abdul Malek Hussin, state Health Department deputy director Dr Sakinah Alwi, state Farmers Association Board (LPP) Md Salim Sulaiman, Malaysia Airlines northern region area manager Wan Mohd Ebrahem Wan Hasnan, Radio Television Malaysia programme producers Nadarajah Kavalamuthu and Rokiah Norma Mohamad Ramli, Air Force curriculum staff officer I Lt Col Khairron Anuar M. Jamil, and army staff officer I Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Rahman A. Wahab.

Perlis Snake and Reptile Farm manager Tengku Noriah Tengku Mahamud is among 37 recipients of the Pingat Mahkota Perlis (PMP).

Others include Mont Blanc South East Asia Pte Ltd general manager Gan Teck Hock, Medan Airport Malaysia Airlines station manager Mior Sajak Mior Khalid, Asean Bankers Malaysia Bhd vice-president Andy Choong Kok Wooi, Incipta Sdn Bhd director Clifford Chew Kuan Thiam, and United Carpet executive director Andy Yap Chong Meng.

Istana Fauzana, Kangar, cleaners Yang Giap Lan and Phua Yok Lan are among 72 recipients of the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK).

Twelve former Istana Negara aides are among 108 who will receive the Pingat Jasa Baik (PJB).
