GEORGE TOWN: An 8-day-old toddler from Sik, Kedah, needs between RM45,000 and RM50,000 for his heart operation.

The boy, who has yet to be named, developed breathing difficulties soon after birth and required an urgent operation at the Gleneagles Medical Centre here.

His father Md Nahar Wa long, 45, a rubber tapper, earns RM800 a month, while his mother Anita Kulub, 35, is a housewife.

Meanwhile, two-week-old Emmer Lee has the same heart problem and requires an urgent surgery expected to cost RM45,000.

Her father Lee Yew Fai, 34, a cook, earns RM1,800 a month while her mother, Tan Sue Chun, 25, a restaurant captain, earns RM1,150 a month.
They can only come up with RM11,000 for the operation.

In another case, three-year-old Al Musyahnakeir Al Muhazam, from Langkawi, Kedah, also needs to undergo an operation estimated to cost RM28,000.

His father Al Muhazam Sudin, 36, is a general worker who earns RM450 a month and his mother Siti Aishah Osman, 37, is a housewife.
