MALACCA: Police detained five men on Monday in connection with a spate of burglaries in Alor Gajah district in the past few months.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Umar Ali Saifuddin Shaharuddin said the five men, aged between 18 and 31, could help investigations into the break-in cases.
Three of the men were picked up at a roadblock at Simpang Empat.
"We found a laptop, three cell phones and two identity cards belonging to the victims," he said at the Alor Gajah district police headquarters yesterday.
The two other suspects were later picked up at separate locations in the district.
