PETALING JAYA: Police smashed a drug syndicate dubbed Gang MP5 with the arrest of three members, in a raid on Wednesday afternoon.

Police seized 1,360 Eramin 5 pills, 228 ecstasy pills, 120g of ketamine and 2.7g of syabu worth more than RM30,000 during the raid at a house in Section 22.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Arjunaidi Mohamed said police also seized RM98,000 from the suspects' bank accounts to facilitate investigations.

The gang was dubbed as Gang MP5 as they used fake MP5 sub-machine-guns when committing crimes.

The three have been remanded for a week beginning Thursday.
