Ong in her element at Brand’s Crossword Game King’s Cup

WHAT improves your English and Mathematics while enhancing analytical skills?

Crossword puzzles, of course!

And if you have the aptitude, speed and mental clarity, and an avid interest in solving puzzles from young such as Suanne Ong, you may even win Brand's Crossword Game King's Cup like the 16-year-old.

Ong, the winner of this year's tournament held in Bangkok recently, was introduced to crossword puzzles by her parents, who are both doctors, when she was six.

The keen fan of challenging and stimulating games, including crossword puzzles, participated in the Open Division category and pitted against players from New Zealand, Australia, England, Singapore, Japan, the United States, the Philippines, India, Nigeria, Bahrain, Romania, Kuwait, Indonesia and Thailand.
Ong won His Majesty the King's Cup and prize money totalling US$6,000 (RM21,000).

Brand's Crossword Game King's Cup, touted as among the three most prestigious crossword tournaments in the world, is currently in its 23rd year. Brand's chicken essence has been the title sponsor with the support of Thailand Crossword Game, A-Math and Kumkom Association and the Thai Ministry of Education.
