It is designed with the young and tech-savvy generation in mind. The entire campus is wireless fidelity connected, thus allowing students to use digital learning tools.
"Students nowadays are creative, bursting with energy and are less likely to respond to the traditional command-and-control type of teaching and learning environment," says Taylor's Education Group managing director Datuk Loy Teik Ngan.
Loy says the campus provides students a conducive environment for studying. For example, its interior design is contemporary and trendy with lots of cluster areas for interaction.
Some of the facilities on campus are student lounges, counselling rooms, an academic services and administration office, a library, 20 classrooms, two lecture theatres, Science and computer laboratories, discussion rooms and a surau.
The main objective of establishing a new campus at Sri Hartamas is to meet rising student enrolment. The number of courses offered by Taylor's College is also increasing.
At an investment of RM6 million, the 4,500-square metre campus can accommodate 800 students.
At this campus, students can study pre-university programmes such as the Cambridge A Levels, which had its intake in
July this year, and the South Australian Matriculation which is expected to start in January next year. The International Baccalaureate programme is offered in mid-2009.
The new campus provides an alternative for those living in the vicinity of Sri Hartamas, Mont Kiara, Kepong and Segambut. Travelling time is reduced.
There are approximately 2,000 parking bays available in adjacent Plaza Damas and Hartamas Shopping Centre.
Although RapidKL buses operate, Taylor's College is working with private bus operators to fetch students from common pick-up and drop-off points.
