MUAR: A woman was almost abducted by her "secret admirer" while walking to her office in Jalan Salleh here yesterday.
In the incident, the man, in his 30s, tried to force the 25-year-old woman into his car. However, she managed to free herself after a struggle. The man fled the scene when onlookers went to her aid. The woman, who lives in Pagoh, commutes to work daily and stops at a bus stop in front of a hospital, before walking to her office.

Six killed in crash with bus
KUCHING: Six Indonesians were killed when their sports utility vehicle crashed into the back of a schoolbus yesterday morning. Five others suffered injuries and have been warded at the Serian hospital. None of the eight pupils inside the bus was injured in the accident at Km99 Kuching-Sri Aman road. Simunjan district police chief Assistant Superintendent Abang Ahmad Abang Suni said the victims were on their way home to Pontianak, Kalimantan, for a holiday.
