SEREMBAN: Fire and Rescue Department officers had to dig two 1.8m deep pits to prevent spilled diesel from a derailed goods train from flowing into nearby streams that flow into Sungai Linggi as a pollution prevention measure.
Eleven of the 15 wagons of the goods train from Port Dickson to Ipoh derailed at Kampung Pulai in Kuala Sawah, Rantau, near here on Friday causing a spillage of diesel.
Seremban 2 Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Jaafar Yusof said things were under control.
He added police had also cordoned off the site due to the high risk.
