RTD director-general Datuk Ahmad Mustapha Abdul Rashid said the officers were now undergoing training at the RTD academies in Malacca, Johor and Kelantan.
The new assistant enforcement officers are expected to help the department in its Hari Raya operations in September and October.
"They will help our officers nab traffic offenders nationwide," said Ahmad Mustapha after visiting the RTD enforcement station in Sanggang on Friday.
During his visit to the station, state RTD officers also held a special operation codenamed "Ops Pengarah" where 72 summonses were issued to errant motorists.
