NO one could match Toshiyuki Hamaguchi in qualifying for the SuperSports 600cc class in Round Four of the Petronas Sprinta FIM Asian Grand Prix at the Johor Circuit yesterday.

The five-time champion will start Races One and Two on pole position after rain spoiled any chance of other riders beating the Japanese rider's times set on Friday.

Babie's Sports Racing's Hamaguchi still checked in the fastest times in yesterday's qualifying session with a time of 1:34.478s, followed by teammate Makoto Inagaki (1:35.321s), while Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman came in third fastest with 1:35.994s.

Ahmad Fuad Baharudin of the Petronas Sprinta Yamaha Malaysia will start third on the grid based on his time of 1:34.904s set in the first qualifying session of Friday.

Fuad's team mate, Azlan will take the last position on the front row.
