I ENJOYED Nisha Sabana-yagam’s report on her trials and tribulations getting into the United Kingdom ("When prejudice makes you just another drug mule” — NST, Aug 18).
I’m British, living in Penang, and I have to say that she received the same treatment I get when travelling “home” , even though I am an Anglo-Saxon middle-aged man.
One thing the British know about is fair play, and the immigration authorities treat us all alike, I can assure you, with suspicion and hostility.
No prejudice, just fair treatment for all.
