MY daughter went on a holiday to Kota Kinabalu recently and said she was impressed with the cleanliness of the city.

I told her the same credit should also be given to Kuching as I've noticed the city was clean, neat and tidy, thus making visitors happy.

So, I was not surprised to read the news report "Where it doesn't pay to litter" (NST, Aug 11) and the picture showing a City Hall officer fining a member of the public RM50 for littering in Kota Kinabalu.

I feel that Kuala Lumpur City Hall should revive the anti-litter campaign and fine those caught littering in the beautiful city.
