14 vie to become Global Queen

GEORGE TOWN: One of 14 beauties will be crowned the Miss Malaysia Global Beauty Queen 2008 at the Bayview Hotel here on Sunday.

The winner will walk away with RM3,000 in cash, a crown, a RM15,000 cash voucher sponsored by Emerald Capital, an air ticket to China and other prizes worth about RM6,888. She will also represent Malaysia at the pageant’s international final contest, which will be held in Xiangshan, China, from Sept 7- 28.

In addition to the national title, the 14 from Penang, Kedah, Perak, Selangor, the Federal Territory and Johor will also be vying for 20 subsidiary titles.

The event is being organised by Catvoque Events Production.
