IPOH: Tired of being harassed by loan sharks about his mother's whereabouts, Leong Vee Loong, 28, had this to say, "My mum is in Hospital Bahagia, Tanjung Rambutan".

Leong said his mother, Low Sew Yong, 54, was admitted to the hospital last Thursday.

"She has been seeking psychiatric treatment there on a regular basis for the past eight years.

"She has been borrowing money from Ah Long and using cheques stolen from us to pay them since 1998," he said, adding that her debts could total up to RM400,000.

He said he had to make his mother's whereabouts public to stop loan sharks from harassing him and his father.
"The loan sharks have already approached us at home and office, complaining of bounced cheques," he told reporters at a press conference organised by the Perak DAP on Tuesday.
