KUALA LUMPUR: At least two people have admitted to being involved in the fight at Sungai Buloh prison which cost C. Uthayachandran his life.

Another prisoner was injured in the fight which broke out in the Damai block at noon on Sunday.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar revealed that at least 10 men were involved in the fight between two new arrivals, who sought to control the most influential gang in the prison.




He said claims by Uthayachandran's family that the prison warder locked the door to the cell where the fight occurred were baseless.

He said police would investigating the incident "without prejudice".
