KUALA LUMPUR: Former Royal Malaysia Police Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Christopher Wan Soo Kee has been appointed as a member of the Election Commission (EC), Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan announced yesterday. Wan's appointment, to fill a vacancy in the EC's membership following the death of Dr Chu Ling Heng on Feb 5, will be effective from the date he reports to the EC and his tenure will be until he reaches the age of 66. -- Bernama
