KUALA LUMPUR: Twelve-year-old Muhammad Rizailan Che Mohd Sukri, from Kelantan, is the winner of the KoKo Taekwondo Victory contest.
His drawing was chosen for the top prize because it met all criteria set by the organisers.
Hew Kah Kay, also 12, from Petaling Jaya, came in second and Aiman Hakim Rahman, 10, from Jenjarom, third.
Their entries were selected out of the 3,500 entries sent in by primary school pupils from all over the peninsula.
The Beijing Olympics-themed art competition was organised by the New Straits Times and Nestle Products Sdn Bhd.
NST sales development senior executive Salmah Hanim Hares said the contest was not only to support the Olympics but also to create health awareness among children.
"We wanted to use the KoKo cartoon character to get the message across to pupils to live healthily by being active in sports," she said.
The top three winners along with the 47 consolation prize winners and the five schools that submitted the most entries will be notified by mail by next week about the prize-giving ceremony on Aug 29.
