TWENTY-TWO companies have had their Petronas upstream licences suspended as of last month.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Senator Tan Sri Amirsham A. Aziz said there were now 2,961 companies licensed and registered with Petronas.

"Their licences were suspended as they had breached the conditions under the licensing and registration regulations," he said in response to Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting (BN-Kulai) who asked about the number of companies holding Petronas upstream licences and the number of companies suspended.
