SHAH ALAM: The state government will provide aid for single mothers and those earning less than RM1,500 a month who have been selected to set up stalls in Ramadan bazaars in the state.
State Agriculture, Natural Resources and Entrepreneur Development Committee cha-irman Yaakob Sapari said the state government would provide umbrellas, folding tables and RM500 as a start-up capital.
"This offer applies to the first 200 whose applications to set up stalls during the fasting month have been approved.
"Those who are interested and fulfil the requirements can contact the Sectoral Section at the State Economic Development Unit or my office," he said at a press conference after the exco's weekly meeting here yesterday.
The state government has approved 6,202 applications to set up stalls in Ramadan bazaars throughout the state this year.
