KOTA BARU: The Pengkalan Chepa and Tanah Merah Umno divisions are set to hold their meetings on Saturday and Dec 13 respectively.
While Pengkalan Chepa division had received the green light from party headquarters on Monday, Tanah Merah received the go-ahead yesterday following a decision by the Kota Baru High Court to set aside an injunction filed by a now former division member.
Yesterday, High Court judge Datuk Mohamad Azman Hussain, in dismissing the ex-parte injunction obtained by Ab Rahman Ibrahim against 32 delegates, ruled that he had failed to disclose material facts in his application.
Azman ruled that the injunction contravened Section 18C of the Societies Act 1966 which barred the courts from hearing or entertaining any application pertaining to decisions or internal party matters.
He also declared that Rahman's application to extend the injunction was void.
