ONE of Thailand’s hottest new pop stars, Chin, was at Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur recently to meet and greet fans and promote his Sony Cybershot Skinny T Web Video.
Chin, 20, starred in the recently-filmed video, a prominent advertising campaign by Sony to promote the Cybershot Skinny T video camera, with 26-year-old Taiwanese television host and actress Winnie Chung.
The video, filmed in Taiwan, was titled Meeting You and featured Chin’s hit song of the same name. It depicts Chin and Chung as lovers who are brought together by their love of the video camera which is able to create “Splashes of Colour” and “Rashes of Emotions”.
Sony Cybershot product manager Victor Gu said Chin was chosen as the main actor for the video as he embodies the spirit of the video camera.
“He is young, trendy and talented like the camera where style meets cutting-edge technology.
“There will be three episodes of the video and they will be aired separately from October to December. We will also have online contests.”
Chin, who is of Thai-French parentage and has two albums to his credit, said: “I’ve been to Kuala Lumpur thrice. I was first here 10 years ago for a sports event and it’s good to be back. I love shopping in this wonderful city.”
