Delivery man killed in attack

JOHOR BARU: The body of a 37-year-old restaurant delivery man was found slumped in a drain in Taman Johor Jaya here with multiple stab wounds to his abdomen and hands.

The victim, Ramesh Rao, from Ulu Tiram, was delivering food ordered by a resident in Jalan Teratai here on Sunday when he was attacked.

The father of six was riding the restaurant's motorcycle when he was believed to have been knocked down by his assailants in a car.

Seri Alam police chief Superintendent Roslan Zainuddin said police had ruled out robbery as the motive for the murder.

His body was found by passers-by about 11am yesterday.
