KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Keadilan Rakyat de factor chief Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's quit decision showed Umno's worsening crisis.

He said the welfare of Malaysians was increasingly neglected because of the leadership crisis.

"Nonetheless, we must avoid being trapped by personal agendas," he said.

He urged Malaysians to join PKR and Pakatan Rakyat.

Meanwhile, Angkatan Muda Keadilan Malaysia blamed Tun Dr Mahathir for the problems in Umno.
Its chief, Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, said whether Dr Mahathir returned to the party was irrelevant.
