AIRIL Rizman hopes to make amends after two disappointing outings in the US$50,000 (RM161,970) Mercedes-Benz Masters Malaysia, the fourth round of the Tour, at the Saujana Golf and Country Club's (SGCC) Bunga Raya Course today.
Airil is optimistic of a good outing following his decision to change the setting of his irons for the event.
"I failed to shine in the two previous tournaments as I was having problems with my irons," said Airil at the SGCC in Subang yesterday.
"There's still adjustments to be made but I'm confident the irons will not be a problem."
Airil failed to make the cut in the recent Thai PGA Championship and finished seventh in the Negri Masters.
Airil's only appearance on the tour was in the first round in Indonesia where he finished 12th.
Among the other local golfers competing are Danny Chia, who failed to make the cut in the recent British Open, Ben Leong and Khor Kheng Hwai.
Danny is the highest ranked Malaysian on the tour at third.
The favourites for the event are the Filippino duo Angelo Que and Mars Pucay, who are currently first and second on the tour, and Thailand's Wisut Artjanawat and Pijit Petchkasem. -- AJITPAL SINGH
