MOH Keen Ho has decided not to quit the national team after settling his dispute with the Malaysian Snooker and Billards Federation (MSBF) recently.
The federation, however, decided to severe ties with his father Loon Hong with no further action to be taken.
MSBF secretary Melvin Chia said the federation will no longer consider Loon Hong for international assignments under the National Sports Council (NSC) programme.
Loon Hong last represented Malaysia in last year's Korat Sea Games where he took a silver in billiards.
Last month, Loon Hong said he wanted to quit the national team while his son Keen Ho and daughter Mary were considering doing likewise as they were unhappy with the way the federation was handling their respective careers.
"The issue is closed. Keen Ho together with his sister Mary are still part of the NSC programme," said Melvin yesterday.
Keen Ho, 22, is the most outstanding among the trio. His best achievement to date was winning the snooker singles title in the Sea Games. He also finished seventh in the World Junior meet last year.
In May, the former professional player was the losing finalist in the Singapore Open.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Amir and Elvin Lean will represent the country in the fourth leg of the Asian Guinness Tour in Singapore starting on Friday.
Ibrahim, the losing finalist last year, hopes to go one better in this edition.
He is currently eighth with 80 points on the Asian Tour, and needs to maintain his ranking in the top ten to ensure qualification for the World Championships. -- AJITPAL SINGH
