Teen assaulted at sports school

SETIU: A 15-year-old student suffered cuts on his lip and bruises on his head after being hit by three seniors at the dormitory of a sports school on Sunday. In the 12.15am incident, the victim Mohd Faizal Yusmenshari was approached by the three Form Four students.

They demanded money from him. He refused and was allegedly punched and hit with a shovel.

The beatings only stopped when Faizal's mouth started to bleed.

The bullies left, but not before warning him to keep quiet about the incident.

Faizal, met at the Setiu Hospital where he had sought treatment, said he returned home the same evening and told his family.

He lodged a report at the Sungai Tong police station the same night.

He told police that he had been bullied by the trio for almost a year.

A police official said police had not picked up the suspects yet.
