THE traditional tower desktop computer can take up a big part of your working space.
Placing the unit on an already cramped desk with books, files and whatnot will leave you without much of an area to work on. That aside, with the conventional desktops, there is also the tangle of wires to deal with.
The latest style in the computer world, however, presents a more space-saving solution in the form of all-in-one PCs. The all-in-ones refer to desktop solutions which have an integrated LCD monitor and CPU.
Besides taking up less space, there are also fewer cables to handle. Although it is not as portable as a notebook, an all-in-one PC can be easily moved and set up anywhere.
Due to its smaller size, this PC uses less power and generates less heat.
This type of computer, according to analysts, has become a popular choice for consumers seeking a complete PC solution. In fact, they predict this segment will be the fastest growing one for desktop computers.

Manufacturers such as Acer, Dell, Lenovo, HP and Asus are already cashing in on the trend by expanding their line-up of all-in-one computers to provide consumers more choices.
Lenovo recently announced an affordable addition to its range of all-in-one PCs, the Lenovo Ideacentre C100. The company has two all-in-one product lines, the A and the C, targeting different consumer needs.
The C100 integrates the traditional desktop computer, a screen with a camera, speakers and a microphone into a compact form that is easy to set up and is a good fit anywhere in the home. The slim computer features an 18.5-inch 16:9 widescreen monitor.
It is also equipped with a DVD/CD combo burner/reader and four USB 2.0 ports.
It is available at Lenovo Concept Store in Mid Valley, Lenovo Concept Stores at Low Yat Plaza, Kuala Lumpur; The Notebook Shop in KLCC; and Bess Computers in Klang.
