CATCH: Yip sings with symphony orchestra

BE entertained by the melodious singing of Frances Yip in The Symphony Orchestra & Frances Yip Xmas Eve Dinner Show on Dec 24 at the Genting International Convention Centre in Genting Highlands at 7pm.

The following day at 8pm in the Arena of Stars, the Hong Kong legend will perform in a showcase titled The Symphony Orchestra 40th Anniversary And Frances Yip Live In Genting.

Yip, whose recording career spans four decades, will enthral diners with popular hits, such as The Bund, Many Love and Heroine.

The Cantonese pop queen’s signature tune is undoubtedly The Bund, also called Shanghai Beach, the theme song from a popular 1980s Hong Kong Television Broadcasts series starring Chow Yun Fat and Sam Lui Leung Wai.

Yip has released more than 80 albums and sings in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

She can also sing in Bahasa Malaysia, Korean, Tagalog and Japanese.

Yip has also performed on television in more than 30 countries on five continents.

Tickets are priced RM250, RM350, RM450 and RM550.
